The ride takes us to the cemetery where Dave lies in rest. We gather here for a few stories of Dave's life, narrated
by Paul. Many laughs and many tears flow as we take a few moments to relive some tales of Dave's life and friendships.
We
then follow the route that Dave often rode to work, on his Valkyrie, driving by his family's home, and rolling to Bowdoin
College in Brunswick, Maine.
Dave left an indellible mark and his legacy at this institution. Many buildings that
he oversaw restorations and renovations on, are standing in the sunshine, on this day, bearing witness to his passion for
the campus.
The church is especially inspiring, or as Holmes put it "Humbling". It was to be torn down, but due to
Dave's vision and wisdom, it was lovingly restored. The stones were disassembled, labeled and replaced, piece by piece and
remortared. One really must see it in person, to appreciate the wisdom and dedication of Dave's fight to keep it standing.
It is a truly remarkable building with priceless artwork that would have been a shame to lose.
The Teddy Bears are
given to the State Police, the tour begins, and we all see the man's conviction and dedication to the preservation of this
great facility.

Thanks Wall, for
sharing this day with us, and letting some of us that did not know Dave, know him through you.
Dave was a heck of a
man.
Wall, so are you. I think we all feel lucky to know you too.
