After hooking up in Whitehall NY we all headed
back to Barre. Upon our arrival, we found Brett Trudy and Steve at the Holiday Inn. They were ready to kick back and relax,
so they missed the big steak out. We told them we would see them in the morning for breakfast and headed the last 1/2 mile
to the little house on the hill.
We sat around, BS'd for a while, and had some very large T-bones, courtesy of Rick
and Deb, of Shippensburg PA.They tasted even better than they looked. It took a little thawing tough. Ricks Combination of
cooler and insulated cooler cover had them still very frozen! Quite a feat, however, considering the heat and distance that
they travelled. The setup he had worked well.
Evan brought smoked salmon and bagels for breakfast, and the crew was
off to another PowWow of great food and good times as usual. The steaks are now a bona fide tradition for the first night
of the PowWow. (They were last years first night dinner too.)
So after dinner and some fooling around, we tuck the
bikes away in my basemant garage, and head off to sleep. The real riding begins tommorrow in the White Mountains of NH.
